Generally: A tablet is a digital peice of paper on a electronic device that directly applies the motions and commands into the computer via a usb cord or wireless. The commands are activiated by touch or by a pen and mouse.
This Particular model "CINTIQ 12WX" is for more advances users that need more visual aid. Mainly for inductrial industries and very demanding jobs.
My particular interest is photoshop or a.k.a photo editing and this would be the machine of my dreams. Of course this tablet is also awesome for other programs as well for advertising and such...

This electronic device cost a hefty sum for innovation.
In my opinion I would definatly buy a cheaper model and see if this is the thing for you. Cheaper models like the wacom tablet on the bottom, link, also try alternatives like E-bay.com.

Design
The design is much like the intuos 4 model but without the screen and more economical, but having that touch screen is the diffrence between minutes and hours spent on a cheaper intuos 4 model.
